Plus, everyone who registers for the meeting and books in our hotel block has a chance to win a free room upgrade!
Consider arriving by Sunday afternoon, Aug. 17 so you can check in to your room and then pick up your conference packet in the meeting area between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. (EST). You’ll save time Monday morning when the conference begins.
PROGRAM
The theme for the meeting is Sharing Solutions, appropriate for our joint meeting with SWAFDE. To date, these workshops are confirmed:
Indentations & Visible Writing Sequencing.
Error as a Learning Tool.
Evaluative Reporting.
Trainees and Junior Examiners.
If you have a topic or research that you would like to present, please submit your abstract as the program is filling up. All abstracts will be vetted anonymously by committee, and decisions made by end of May.
When you submit your abstract, be sure you have all the information ready, as you can’t re-turn to the form once you’ve started. NOTE: Short bios must be submitted ONLY for those who will actually be making the presentation. All co-authors should be listed, but provide bios only for those speaking.
Final presentations are due July 20. A Dropbox link will be sent so presentations may be uploaded directly there.
More details on the program, including the workshop topics and theme for this year’s Trainee Session, will be posted on the ASQDE website as soon as available, along with agenda updates.
GUEST INVITATIONS
Regular, Corresponding and Life members may submit a guest invitation request at this link to colleagues they know. Please submit as soon as possi-ble so guests who need to participate have time to submit an abstract by the May 1 deadline.
Any member can also provide potential guests this link to the non-member guest invitation re-quest form. Guests answer the questions and up-load their own CV for consideration by the EC.
If you have questions about the program, please contact Brett Bishop at bbishop@bdes.us.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
The ASQDE has arranged for special room rates of $120/night (plus tax and a reduced daily resort fee) for registered attendees and exhibitor show participants. This rate is valid for single or double occupancy, and is available for attendees for up to three days before and three days after our conference dates.
Reserve your hotel room at this link. Phone reservations will be charged a $15 fee (+tax). Reference group code SHASQ5.
PLEASE NOTE:
These registration rates above are for those who have guaranteed they will be in the ASQDE hotel block (or those who live locally).
Attendees who are not staying in our room block will be charged an additional $150 registration fee.
Payment of invoices must be received within 5 days of the billed registration level or the higher amount will be due.
NEW THIS YEAR: Filling our hotel room block is a critical part of ensuring our conference’s financial viability. To encourage attendees to reserve rooms in our block, we are offering a lower registration fee (see block at right) for those who guarantee a reservation at Harrah's Las Vegas by July 25 using our group code SHASQ5. Attendees who are not planning to guarantee their reservation in the hotel room block will be charged an additional $150 registration fee. Registrants who live locally and cannot book a hotel stay may pay the reduced Hotel Room Block conference registration rate. In addition...every registered attendee who books a room in our hotel block is eligible to win a FREE upgrade to a Junior Suite. Register and reserve your room early! Details on the drawing dates(s) will be sent by email to all members and invited guests.
